Deep linking

Every chirp can carry a url. When the recipient taps the notification, ChirpHook opens that URL — a web page in the in-app browser, or another app when you use its URL scheme.

Terminal window
curl -X POST https://api.chirphook.com/h/YOUR_HOOK_SECRET \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"title": "Build finished",
"body": "main · 214 tests passed",
"url": "https://ci.example.com/runs/8241"
}'
  • Web URLs (https://…) open in an in-app browser sheet. One tap on Done returns to where the user was.
  • App URLs (things:///show?id=today, slack://channel?…) hand off to that app when it is installed.
  • Chirps without a url open the chirp detail in ChirpHook.
  • Link to the page a person would look for next: the failing run, the order, the document — not your home page.
  • Keep URLs stable. A chirp stays in the history, and its link should still work next week.
  • Agents can compose URLs from their tool results; the url field accepts any string up to the payload limit, and https URLs are recommended.
